Quiet...

::Sabbatical::
Providing time for rest and regeneration.

We have begun a new year. Another year done. Another year begun. A clean slate. The old year is over...with it's joys, mistakes, lessons, heartaches, trials, moments of bliss...whats done is done.  The future beckons again. Like a second chance. We have this life but once...
It's a new year! A brand new beginning...Like a fresh snow fall at dawn, the whole  new year  ahead.
This year, however is different. Because this year, I am taking back my life. I am taking back my life and  I am giving it back to the ONE who gave me mine. I will say NO! We will take time. Time to say I love you. I'm sorry...cold winter  nights to sit in the tight circle of family and read and listen to the quite. I will regain what has been lost in the hustle of busy...of helping this one and that...I will regain what time has robbed. We have this life to live but once. We can spend a life time so busy living that we really haven't lived at all.
At  the close of the day does it really matter that we gave a life time to build our community. Or will it matter more that we spent our time together with the ones the  Lord gave us to while we have the time. Our lives are but a vapor... here today... gone tomorrow.
We leave where  we came from... we search for some thing else. we doubt our calling therefor we leave it to  live out a different path. Yet we come back to what we came from when we realize we are not called to what we left for.
We were the prairie family. We were always there for each other. We spent each evening together...days of peace and productivity...now when the world dawns exigent circumstances. We must draw away from the business of jobs, everyone else's needs, this and that. And coming back to our selves.
So therefor, no, we cannot help. We cannot be there. We are here. We cannot be about your business, we are about the Lord's.
Blessings~

Busy...Yes, it can overshadow what is the most important. With quiet we are able to truly hear the Lord, to listen, and then follow His lead. May we all be reminded to be about His work, in His time, and to seek to be like Him!

Blessing to each of the Mayo Family this 2013, may the year hold much joy and peace given by our Savior.

Hello Mayo family!!

I love the quiet evening we have. Some days they are few and far between. With our age ranges and the silly-ness that consumes us at times lends little time for quiet. But oh I love it when we get a peek of it here and there.

Enjoy~
